Sunrise of DMC Wool colors bent with black

Sunrise of Lanas DMC

DMC Sunrise is a wool that combines a black base tone with a multicolored strand in striking gradient shades, which contains colors bent with black and offer a unique fantasy look. It is ideal for knitting fantasy accessories such as shawls, foulards, scarves, collars, scarves and much more. Sunrise by DMC is a 100% acrylic fancy wool, very resistant and pleasant to touch, ideal for creating clothes and accessories that suit you. This wool provides an incredible effect of color, since it is playing with degradations of various shades at the same time that it is combined in the twisted with the black thread of its base. Its strand consists of 3 thin strands, 2 black and 1 tinted in another more striking tone. Therefore, the combination of the black color with the gradient in a more striking color, brings a more fun and casual touch to your work.

The composition of the DMC Sunrise wool is:

100% Acrylic. Acrylics are the most similar to wool. The fibers for carpets seem to be wool and the fabrics for baby seem to be made of wool, but they are softer and their care is much simpler. The sweater, the challis and other fine fabrics can be reproduced with acrylic fibers. The cost of fabrics and garments made with acrylic fibers is similar to good quality wool, but they are especially suitable for people allergic to wool. The first acrylic fibers produced frying (pilling) and the garments were stretched and folded (instead of shrinking, like wool) but these problems were solved by using appropriate structures in the threads and fabric. Acrylics can be ironed, they also have the ability to develop a potential for latent shrinkage and retain it indefinitely at room temperature. Acrylic fibers are not as durable as nylon, polyester, or olefin fibers, but for garments and domestic uses their strength is satisfactory. The first orlon was produced in filament form with a resistance almost as good as nylon. The resistance of acrylics to dyes and the high production cost limited their use in these end uses. Later success was achieved using short fibers of lower strength. Acrylic fibers are soft and can sometimes cause allergies or hives in the contact area of ??the garment. They have a density of 1.14-1.15 g / cc, which makes it much lighter than wool. The humidity recovery varies from 1.30 to 3.0%. High volume acrylic fibers provide heat in lightweight fabrics. Acrylic fibers have good resistance to most chemicals, except strong alkalis and chlorine-based bleaches. Acrylics can be dry-cleaned; in some garments the finish is lost and the fabric will feel rough. These fibers are resistant to moths and fungi. Acrylic fibers have excellent resistance to sunlight.

The characteristics of the DMC Sunrise wool are:

Each ball contains 100 grams and 285 meters. Its thickness is recommended for knitting with knitting needles or 4 mm crochet hooks. To make a square of 10 x 10 centimeters with Sunrise DMC wool, you must assemble 22 stitches and work 28 laps. It is suitable for machine washing at maximum 40ºC. It can be ironed at a moderate temperature and preferably without steam. It is allowed to use dryer for this wool. Your OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certificate guarantees that the DMC Sunrise wool is a trusted textile according to the control regulations, which means that it does not contain harmful substances that could damage the skin. With this resistant material you can knit a multitude of garments and accessories, both for children and adults. You can give free rein to your creativity and make your own fantasy work such as ponchos, handkerchiefs, foulards, scarves, jackets and much more. It is available in black combined with red, blue, green, brown, multicolored and more, so you can use the most suitable one in your work. This fiber provides high quality resistant textures, which will make your work do not lose its shape despite the use, washing and time.  Being similar to wool, they will never go cold, since they will be very well wrapped. Another reason to choose acrylics is that they are hypoallergenic fabrics, something fantastic for those with allergy problems. Its weight is very light so your clothes and accessories will be super comfortable to wear.Sunrise of DMC Wool colors bent with black
