The composition of Katia Azulejo wool is

65% acrylic 17% polyamide 11% wool 7% alpaca A polyamide is a type of polymer containing amide-type bonds. Polyamides can be found in nature, like wool or silk, and also be synthetic, like nylon or Kevlar. The first polyamides were synthesized by DuPont Corporation, by the team led by chemist Wallace Hume Carothers, who started working for the company in 1928. Polyamides such as nylon were first used as synthetic fibres, although they have ended up being used in the manufacture of any plastic material. Aramides are a type of polyamide in which there are aromatic groups forming part of its structure. For example, very resistant to traction fibres such as Kevlar are obtained, or fibres that are also very resistant to fire, such as Nomex, both of which are marketed by DuPont. This mixture results in a strong, soft and warm ball. Acrylic is a type of material that resembles natural wool and provides softness, while wool and alpaca will maintain your body temperature. Thanks to polyamide, you get a strong and elastic ball.
