The composition of Jazz de Lanas Torredemer is:

80% Acrylic 20% Mohair. Jazz de Lanas Torredemer is composed of 80% Acrylic and 20% Mohair. Acrylic fiber is a synthetic fiber made from the chemicals used by Carothers and his team in the fundamental research on high polymers that was carried out at Du Pont. Du Pont developed an acrylic fiber in 1944 and started commercial production of them in 1950. It was given the commercial name of Orlon. Synthetic fiber is a textile fiber that comes from various petroleum products. Artificial fibers are not synthetic, they come from natural materials, basically cellulose. Sometimes the term "chemical fibers" is used to refer to artificial and synthetic fibers as a whole, as opposed to natural fibers. Thus, synthetic fibers are entirely chemical: both the synthesis of the raw material and the manufacture of the strand or filament are products of the human being. With the appearance and development of synthetic fibers, the textile industry has obtained yarns that satisfy the demand posed by new weaving techniques and consumers. The mohair is the fiber from the hair of the Angora goat and an openwork fabric made with this textile fiber, widely used in the making of jackets and sweaters. Its main characteristics are softness and brightness. The term mohair seems to come from the Turkish word mukhya, whose meaning is 'the best [fleece]' and with the Arabic word mukhayyar, which means 'a cloth of goat hair'. The main feature of the Angora goat is its hair or mohair, very similar to the wool of sheep (sheep) for its chemical composition, but different, in that it is more insulating, thinner and smoother, and with more shine . The mohair can be woven on a loom or used for knitted fabrics, dyed with some ease and produces a firm, insulating, soft and shiny material. The fine hair of the younger goats is used in clothing, but that of old animals is used for carpets and heavy fabrics for outerwear. Mohair fiber can be mixed with wool to obtain high quality fabrics.
