Katia Boheme wool

Lanas Katia Boheme is a cotton and hemp Flamé yarn with a marbled design. Lanas Katia Boheme belongs to the Concept by Katia range of wools, and is a yarn with a marbled look, made of cotton and hemp, a type of natural biodegradable fibre that has been used for a long time in the textile industry and is notable for its great resistance. Hemp is considered the longest, softest and most resistant textile fibre of plant origin. The fabric made from it can have different qualities, sometimes rougher and sometimes softer than cotton. It is also more insulating, cooler, absorbent and durable. It was once the most widely used fibre and was considered the yardstick or standard for measuring the quality of other fibres. One hectare of hemp can produce twice as much fibre as one hectare of cotton, and hemp fibre requires fewer chemicals during processing. Hemp does not require the many pesticides used for cotton that damage the soil. The length and strength of hemp still competes with the more modern materials used in naval rope. It also allows for the production of high-strength building materials and materials with a high insulating capacity. The colour combinations it offers are a mixture of pastel spray effect with brighter shades on a raw background.

The composition of Katia Boheme Wool is

76% cotton 24% hemp The diverse utility of the hemp and its quality was worth to him in some times the consideration of sacred plant that harnesses the evolution of the human one. From the 5th century BC until the end of the 19th century, 90% of the ropes and sails for navigation and many fishing nets were made from hemp. Today it is still widely used in many boats because of its great resistance to humidity and climatic variations. The decline in hemp cultivation in industrialised countries began as a result of a confusing policy of marijuana prohibition, which directly affected hemp, in the 1930s. Hemp's length and strength still compete with the more modern materials used in naval rope. It also allows for the production of high-strength building materials and high-capacity insulating Cotton makes the yarn light and soft in contact with the skin, while hemp, which is a very strong fibre, will prevent the yarn from being deformed, loosened or shrunk. In this way, and with good care, your clothes will not easily deteriorate in spite of the passage of time.
